The Caledonia/Spring Grove softball team hosted Cotter on April 4, then traveled to La Crescent two days later. On Saturday, April 8, the Warriors played two games at the Onalaska Luther tourney.

Cotter scored a 10-0 win over C/SG on Tuesday, when Rambler pitchers Isabel Northrop and Alexis Hadaway combined for a no-hitter. Catcher Britney Meier went 3 for 4 for the visitors, including a double and a triple. Official stats were not available as this issue went to press.

The Warriors got their first “W” of the year on Thursday, defeating La Crescent in a 17-13 run melee. C/SG bats exploded for nine runs in the second, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

Lydia Melde went 4-5 at the plate, Adrianna Reinhart 3-5. Alyssa Meiners, Sarah Peterson, and Katelyn Stemper got two hits each.

Olivia Welscher collected the win, pitching two and two-thirds innings. Grace Privet got the save, with four and a third innings of work. Lancer Shelby Pierce was tagged for the loss.

The Pirates used a big second inning to score eight runs on the way to a 10-0 decision over the Warriors. Kelsey Hermanson and Sarah Petersen singled in the fourth inning for C/SG, but the Warriors were out-hit 12-2 overall.

Aquinas pitcher Courtney Conway threw a two-hitter and fanned five as C/SG suffered a 21-0 loss. Abby Bauer and Kelsey Hermanson teamed up for a pair of fourth-inning hits, but both runners were stranded in the two-out rally.
