Caledonia Green/Streetscapes are busy planning their upcoming spring activities.

“One of the big things we’re going to do is to touch up the mural outside of the Coffee House” said member Diane Schuldt. “We’re not going to move it, it is just looking a little tough so we’re going to freshen it up.”

The group, who last year bought new hanging baskets, are also busy fundraising.

“It costs about $40 per basket and we have 22 of them,” said Schuldt. “So we’re working to raise money for those.”

The group will host a sandwich fundraiser in May at Quillin’s which will help offset the expense of the flowers.

Last year the group also purchased new greens for around the snowflakes which adorn street lights on Main Street throughout the winter months.

Upcoming, the group will also be putting out barrels and benches at the corners of Main Street again, but their big focus remains flowers.

“Our main focus is on the flowers around the area,” Schuldt said. “We’re placing them at the pool area, and all around town.”

Caledonia Green/Streetscapes meet the second Wednesday of the month at Elsie’s at 7:30 a.m.

“Our next meeting will be April 12,” Schuldt said. “Anyone is welcome to join.”
