On Tuesday April 11, the Warriors played host to the Rushford-Peterson Trojans.

R-P would open the scoring in the top of the first with an unearned run off starting pitcher Cole Folsom. The Warriors would tie up the score in the bottom of the second. Austin Werner was hit by the pitch leading off. He would steal 2nd and 3rd base and score on a passed ball.  Caledonia would add to the lead with two more runs in the 3rd inning. Casey Storlie, Tate Meiners and Alex Goergen would all hit singles and Goergen and Meiners would eventually score on passed balls.

Jordan Burg would hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth for another Warrior run. Caledonia would then add two more runs in the 5th on hits by Goergen, Meiners and an RBI groundout by Derek Vonderohe, to complete the scoring at the eventual final score of 6-2 in favor of Caledonia.

Cole Folsom got the win on the mound as he pitched a complete game six hitter. He allowed one earned run, one walk and struck out two.

Storlie, Goergen and Meiners each had two hits to lead the offense.

“Cole really stepped up and pitched a great game for us,” said head coach Brad Augedahl.  “He threw a lot of strikes and we played solid defense behind him.”
