Monday’s softball game with Plainview-Elgin-Millville was postponed until May 8, but the Warriors played Rushford-Peterson the following afternoon (April 11).  That contest went to Caledonia/Spring Grove, 7-3.

Grace Privet tossed a complete seven inning game for C/SG, striking out six while giving up only three walks. The eighth-grader logged 65 of 99 pitches in the strike zone while facing 33 batters.

Three runs on just two hits put C/SG ahead for good in the second. Then Lydia Melde and Abby Bauer led off the third with a pair of singles, adding two runs for the Warriors before the inning expired. And C/SG would keep the bats humming throughout, adding insurance runs in the fifth and seventh.

Warrior Adrianna Reinhart went 2 for 4 at the plate with a pair of doubles and three runs. Sarah Petersen doubled as well, collecting two runs batted in (RBI). Brooke Stemper also collected a double and an RBI.
