Ann Mattison Frisch, 88, of Caledonia, died in the presence of her eternal love, George, on September 3, 2017, at St. Anne Extended Health Care, Winona, Minn.
Ann was born February 3, 1929, in Winona, Minn., to Percy A. and Inez (Ham) Mattison. She graduated from St. Teresa’s College with a major in music. On July 5, 1952, she was united in marriage to George Frisch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Winona.
Ann was a volunteer in different community organizations and enjoyed meeting with the Caledonia book club, “The Page Turners.”
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. George Frisch; her children, Robert Frisch, Maggie (Ron) May, Joe Frisch, and Elizabeth Frisch; her grandchildren; a great grandson, beloved sister, Maggie (Gordon) Kolvenbach; nieces and nephews; family friend, Uncle Dick George; special friends, Dottie Hendel and the book club members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Catherine; daughter-in-law, Rita Frisch; and best friend Joan George.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Caledonia. Msgr. Gerald Kosse will officiate and private interment will occur at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday at St. Mary’s Holy Family Hall, Caledonia, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
