Kaley Cross qualified for the state gymnastics meet on the beam at the Section 1A meet on Feb. 20 in Stewartville. She will compete on Feb. 27 at the University of Minnesota.

The Pawlenty plan: County could see $1.5 M in state aid cuts in next two years

Word of massive state aid cuts to all cities and counties across the state sent government staffs scurrying. The Houston County Board was no exception. According to County Finance Director Casey Bradley, the county is facing a two-year cut in county program aid (CPA) of $1.522 million if the plans Gov. Tim Pawlenty announced Feb. 15 become a reality.
