Only one arrest made during Safe and Sober campaign in December
|
The Caledonia Police Department is pleased to announce they arrested only one impaired driver during the Department of Public Safety (DPS) December-long Safe & Sober impaired driving enforcement campaign. Around 400 Minnesota law enforcement agencies participated in the effort. There are 505,152 Minnesotans who have a DWI on record, meaning one in eight Minnesotans with a driver’s record has a DWI.

Police department receives state Safe and Sober Award
|
|
Law enforcement liaison Brad Kollmann presented the state Safe and Sober Award to Caledonia Police Officer Allan Johnson.
Successful traffic safety activities conducted by the Caledonia Police Department warranted a federal grant of $2,500 from the Department of Public Safety office of Traffic Safety.

Aug. 1, 2007, the Interstate 35W Saint Anthony Falls bridge spanning the Mississippi tumbled in its entirety into the waters below. Disbelief was the immediate reaction of most citizens throughout the state, and across the nation, as images of broken concrete, bent iron, and crushed cars filled our TV screens for weeks to follow.
