Lady Warriors defeat Lancers, 46-23 will face Cotter Saturday for the sub-section championship |
|
|
In basketball, a good school of thought is if you force your opponent
to commit more turnovers than they have points, then the chances you’ll
win the game are probably pretty good. Caledonia brought down their
best “thieves” for the Section One AA East Sub-section Semi-finals
against La
Crescent and the arms swinging, the constant pokes and jabs at the
basketball were too much for the Lancers to handle. The Lancers wound
up losing by a final score of 46-23. They scored 11 fewer points than
they had in turnovers (34).

Lady Warriors begin sub-section play with blow-out win over St. Charles |
|
|
|
When attempting to win playoff games, the cause is greatly helped when
a team comes out clicking defensively. Not a snapping of the fingers
clicking, but playing together in a cohesive manner for the betterment
of the team.
“We came out clicking as our defense was just phenomenal, we totally
took them out of anything they wanted to do offensively,” said head
coach Scott Sorenson.
The Lady Warriors defeated St. Charles, 62-30 to open their 1AA East Sub-section play.

Laquita Becker and Sarah Colleran helped applied a stifling defense
that kept the Saints from scoring a singel point during the first 13
minutes of the Section One AA East Sub-section quarter finals last
week. The Caledonia girls cruised to a 41-10 halftime lead. (Photo by

and successful week with a 63-52 win over Fillmore Central Saturday
