The Caledonia/Spring Grove gymnastics team gained a big win over
Wabasha-Kellogg 123.475 to 99.925 on Monday, Feb. 11 in Caledonia. The
meet took place in the large gym at Caledonia High School where the
section meet will take place in 2009.
Coach Paul Stevens said that his team had a great meet, considering the
injuries and illnesses they have faced. “The girls varsity team
is still not feeling the strongest,” said Stevens. “We will be working
carefully this week preparing for the section meet on Saturday.
“We had our highest team total of the year, which was amazing,” said
Stevens. “The girls took pride in performing on parents’ night.
Also, our gym looked great and we now know what it will look like next
year when we host the section meet. A big thank you goes out to all the
parents and friends of the team that helped us set the equipment up
Sunday afternoon as well as move all the equipment after the meet. We
could not have done it without you.
