hoschvivian.jpgVivian Hosch age 87 of New Albin Iowa died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at Thornton Manor in Lansing, Iowa.

Vivian was born in Davenport, Iowa on Nov, 17, 1920 to Chester and Leona (Weber) Wylie. She married Leon Hosch on Jan, 28, 1943 at St. Alphonsus Church in Davenport. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin, the Lady Foresters and the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband Leon of New Albin Iowa; three children: Jim (Sandy) Hosch, New Albin; Nancy (Philip) Kennedy, Polk City, Iowa; Gerald Hosch, La Crosse Wis.; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Deloras Underdunk, Radcliffe, Ky.; and one brother, Robert Wylie, Moab, Utah.

Vivian was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Genevieve.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Albin with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center in New Albin where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:45 p.m.

The Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.
