Culinary Extravaganza to be held November 1

The Seventh Annual Culinary Extravaganza, which is a fund-raising event for the Four Seasons Community Center, will be held Sunday, Nov. 1. The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and dinner at 6:30, will be held at the Four Seasons Community Center in Caledonia.
A five-course gourmet meal will be prepared by chief Thomas Sacksteder, certified executive chef at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse.
The featured speaker will be photographer/author Doug Ohman.
Ohman is a freelance photographer and popular public speaker. He has traveled throughout the upper Midwest photographing historic architecture. His work has been widely published in magazines, calendars and books. Over the past six years he has been working with the Minnesota Historical Society on the popular book series, “Minnesota Byways”. His photographic look at old barns in Minnesota, “Barns of Minnesota” was nominated for a Minnesota Book award in 2006. Recently Ohman has completed a new book about the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
Tickets for the event are $39 a person, $25 of which is tax deductible. Tickets are available from Four Seasons Board members Carol Nelson, Tim Murphy, Pam Griffith, John Pongratz, Steve Ingvalson, Laurel Rusert, Joe Welch, Howard Medin, Matt Schmitz, Jane Palen, Joe Welch and Kelly Meyer.
