Caledonia man faces multiple felony charges from Aug. 27 incident PDF Print
Jerry McCloud, 33, of Caledonia has been charged with first and third degree felony assault charges, as well as making terroristic threats, also a felony and two fifth degree assault charges all stemming from an incident that occurred Aug. 27 in downtown Caledonia.

McCloud was charged with  first and third degree felony assault and fifth degree gross misdemeanor assault charges for assaulting Jesse Peterson, 34, of Caledonia outside The Ranch bar. According to reports, Peterson attempted to break up a fight and was attacked by McCloud. Peterson received several blows to the head. He was hospitalized in serious condition for several days, with swelling of the brain.

The first degree felony assault charge has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $30,000 fine. The third degree felony assault charge has a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The fifth degree gross misdemeanor assault charge has a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.

McCloud also faces a felony charge for making terroristic threats to Rita Frank, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and a fifth degree gross misdemeanor charge for assaulting Stacy Hauser-Vick, which carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.
