Sunday morning mishap PDF Print

tractoraccident.jpg Emergency units were called to the scene of a tractor-vehicle accident Oct. 18 at 11:29 a.m. According to Kelley McGraw of the Minnesota State Patrol, Thomas Osborne of Spring Grove was east bound on Highway 44 near the Tru-Gas tanks several miles east of Caledonia, when his Jeep Cherokee rear-ended a tractor driven by Richard Leary of Caledonia. Osborne and his two children were transported to Franciscan-Skemp in La Crosse by Caledonia Ambulance. Leary went to Gundersen Lutheran. All were treated and released. “Fortunately, properly used child seats helped avoid injury to the Osborne children,” McGraw noted. “Mr. Leary did have his amber warning lights activated and was operating his tractor in a safe manner,” McGraw added. McGraw was assisted by the Caledonia Police, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance and the Houston County Sheriff’s Department.
