Thank you for bringing this subject to light! I was given an unnecessary hysterectomy/castration a year and a half ago when I was taken to the emergency room with abdominal pain. Within 8 hours of arriving I woke up and was told that my uterus, ovaries and cervix were amputated. I had never had a female problem in my life. I am still in shock. Women need to be told the truth about this surgery. You do not need a hysterectomy. If your doctor tells you that you do, go to www.hersfoundation.org for the correct information.
