Workforce Development Center will not be closing in Caledonia

The Workforce Development, Inc. Office (WDI) in Caledonia will not be closing.
Dallas Groten, area manager for the Workforce Development, Inc., announced Feb. 2 that the WDI Office in Caledonia will remain open in 2010 and beyond. WDI has recently experienced funding cuts, but these cuts will not force the Caledonia office to stop operation.
Groten said that the Caledonia WDI office will continue to serve people in need of job search assistance and workforce training in Houston County as it has for over 20 years.
Workforce Development, Inc. is a private non-profit corporation located on 110 East Grove Street in Caledonia. WDI’s mission is: “To develop and advance the workforce of Southeast Minnesota.”
