Carol
F. Weber, age 67, of New Albin, Iowa died Thursday morning, Mar. 27,
2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire Wis. following a short
battle with cancer.
Carol was born in New Albin, Iowa on July 11, 1940 to Melvin ‘Dag’ and
Ann Mildred ‘Millie’ (Henry) Darling. She graduated from the New Albin
High School in 1958. She married Don Weber on July 26, 1958 at St.
Joseph Church in New Albin. She and her husband owned and operated
Weber Construction.
Carol is survived by seven children: Debbie (Terry) Utke, Waukon Iowa;
Mary (Anton) Kidess, Eau Claire Wis.; Teri Moore (friend Jason
Wenthold), Lansing, Iowa; Connie (Mike) Mauss, La Crescent Minn.; Neal
(Mary) Weber, New Albin; Todd Weber, New Albin; Jennifer (Damon) Olson,
New Albin; 24 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; six
siblings:John (Pat) Darling, La Crosse Wis.; Alvin (Vera) Darling, New
Albin; Rita (Larry) Lager, Las Vegas Nev.; Gerald (Karen) Darling, New
Albin; Mary (Leland) Lankford, New Albin; and Kathy (Lyle) Goetzinger,
New Albin.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Donald on May 17, 2007; a
grandson, Creed Moore; and a brother, Ricardo ‘Rick’ Darling.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in New Albin with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating, with burial in
St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to
7 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center.
The Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.
