The Logan Invitational was held this past Tuesday and the Caledonia/Spring Grove teams both performed well.

Several individual goals were reached and the team got a taste of the season after an early schedule marred by rain delays.

On the boys side, the meet was won by Logan Red with 183 points. Logan Red also won the girls meet with 137 points.

Team scores

(Boys) Logan Red 183, Holmen 117, Arcadia 84 1/2, Tomah 57 1/2, Logan White 45, Caledonia/Spring Grove 27, La Crescent 16, Mauston 13, Cochrane-Fountain City 7.

“I was happy with effort of the guys,” said head boys coach Carl Fruechte.  It’s hard as we have not been outside much because of weather.”

Cody Petersen placed first in the 200M sprint with a time of 23.87.

“Cody Petersen ran a great 100m and 200m, great times this early in year,” said Fruechte.

The rained-out meet in Caledonia was made up Monday, April 21. Information will be included in next week’s Argus.

This is the entire coverage on the track meet?!? What a disappointment!! Of all of the spring sports, the track and field team has more athletes and events to cover. With so much to write about, only one athlete's results were published from both the boys and girls teams with dozens of athletes! What a disappointment for all of the other kids who put their energy and effort into participating in this event! Good luck Warriors on the rest of your season!
