Mississippi River Wild, in conjunction with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers, organized a river clean-up day Saturday at Wild Cat Landing, near Brownsville. A group of hard-working individuals and organizations showed up to scour the shoreline and the shallow waters for garbage and other debris. In the photo above Peter Allen, at left, and James Oldenburg move along the shallows in their boat .
