Baseball - June 12

U12 Gold 3, opponents 3
“The game went into the bottom of the 6th inning with the bases loaded and 1 out,” said coach Craig Loeffler. “Tanner Langen struck out the next 2 and kept it at the final score of 3-3.”

Kyle Sorenson pitched 4 innings, and Tanner Langen pitched for 2. Austin Bauer went 1 for 1 with a triple and 2 RBIs.

Softball - June 16

Girls U14 Black 7,
Shelby Culvers 0
“Taylor Winjum pitched another great game throwing a complete game shutout,” said coach Kody Moore. “Our defense did a great job of backing her up. Amanda Heberlein blasted a 3-run homerun that really extended our lead. Julya Diersen also had a key double that scored two runs.”

Taylor Winjum pitched six innings; Amanda Heberlein had a 3-run homerun and Amber Betz was 1 for 1 with an RBI.

Girls U10 Black 7, opponents 2
“Offensively it was a very good game for us,” said coach Angie Ideker. “We had 11 hits total with 3 being extra base hits. We had a few errors defensively but we were able to make some adjustments and come away with the win. Carrie Schoh and Abby Hoskins pitched well for us and recorded 5 strikeouts between the two of them.”

Jordan Anderson went 3 for 3 with a triple; Alyssa Meiners was 2 for 3 with a double; Abby Hoskins was 3 for 3; and Clare Kasten had a triple. Carrie Schoh and Abby Hoskins each pitched three innings.

Girls U10 Gold 4,
La Crosse Boys & Girls Club 3
“Abby Bauer had an amazing game pitching,” said coach Sara Kasten. “She had a total of 10 strikeouts and let no runs in until the last inning. The girls did well together with few errors and few people on base.”

Sierra Olinger was 3 for 3, and Brenna Werner went 2 for 3. Abby Bauer pitched all 6 innings.

Girls U12 17,
Shelby HSR Associates 8
“Jordyn Krause pitched very well,” said coach Kari Rusert. “We were losing 6-8 in the top of the last inning. We scored 11 runs to beat Shelby HSR Associates. Lauren Rusert hit a grand slam to help in our victory. Marisa Klein connected for a triple and Jordyn Krause hit a double.”

Lauren Rusert and Jordyn Krause were the pitchers.

Baseball - June 16

U14 Black 5, opponents 4
“We were down early, got the lead, and didn’t give it back to them,” said coach Kevin Ranzenberger. “Alex Betz had clutch hits and Matt Peterson pitched a good 4 innings to finish the game.”

Pitchers were Alex Betz and Matt Peterson. Betz went 2-2 with 2 triples.

U10 Gold 2, Goodview 11
“We played a very tough Goodview team and we had a tough time hitting the ball,” said coach Kevin Voight. “Jordan Burg had a great 2 RBI double towards the end of the game for our only 2 runs of the game.”

Austin Werner pitched 3 innings, and Lucas Dodsen went 2 innings. Jordan Burg went 1-1, and had 2 walks and 2 RBIs. Austin Werner went 1-2 with 1 walk.

U10 Black 4,
Onalaska Rec Loggers 3
“The U10 Black team worked hard for their first victory of the season, beating the Onalaska Rec Department Loggers 4-3,” said coach Ron DuCharme. “Gavin Schroeder pitched 3 solid innings striking out 7 batters. Colton Lampert pitched 2 innings of relief and came up with a clutch 2 RBI double in the 4th inning. Tanner Gran, Jacob Winjum, Henry Russert, and Symon Ely helped their team with key defensive plays, stopping scoring threats late in the game.”

Baseball - June 17

U12 Gold 14, opponents 1
“Austin Bauer pitched 3 strong innings giving up only 1 hit and no runs,” said coach Craig Loeffler. “Our batting came alive tonight and it showed by scoring 14 runs.”

Austin Bauer went 3 innings; Andrew Hesse pitched 1 inning. Seth Twite went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a triple. Joey Haverty was 1-2 with 2 RBIs, and Spencer Privet was 0-0 with 2 RBIs.

U14 Black 6, opponents 0
“Our defense played great and that was a big reason for only giving up 3 hits,” said coach Kevin Ranzenberger. “Brandon Vonder-ohe pitched another great game and got another win.”

Vonderohe pitched 7 innings with 10 strikeouts and only 3 hits.

Softball - June 18

U10 Gold 8, La Crescent Apple Valley Beverage 1
“We had a strong game defensively and offensively,” said coach Sara Kasten. “Brenna Werner had 4 srikeouts. The girls did well communicating on the field and finishing plays.”

Samantha Schroeder pitched 1 inning, Sierra Olinger 2, and Brenna Werner 2 innings. Brenna Werner and Olivia Adamson were 3 for 3. Sierra Olinger had a double. Marian Schroeder, Alissa Peterson and Emily Hagerott had singles.

U12 19, opponents 2
“We had a great defensive game,” said coach Kari Rusert. “We also hit really well. Alexy Bearbower hit her first double of the season. Jordyn Krause also hit another double. Taylor Augedahl and Samantha Bratland went 3 for 3 and pitched a great game.

Pitchers were Taylor Augedahl and Samantha Bratland. Leading hitters were Taylor Augedahl, Samantha Bratland, Jordyn Krause and Alexy Bearbower.

U10 Black 3, opponents 7
“Our defense struggled a bit in this game but many players were trying out new positions that they have never played before,” said coach Angie Ideker. “The girls played hard and it was highlighted by a double play; Cayley Twite caught a fly ball and threw out the runner at first base.”

Pitchers were Cayley Twite, 2 innings; Carley Hoscheit, 1 inning; and Jordan Anderson 1 inning. Abby Hoskins was 2-2 with 2 doubles; Jordan Anderson 2-3 with a double; Alyssa Meiners had a double.

U14 Black 5,
La Crosse Boys & Girls Club 7
“In a back and forth battle we came up just a little bit short,” said coach Kody Moore. “We were down 4-3 going into our last at bat when Teresa Becker started us out with a walk, stole second and third, and then scored on a single by Taylor Winjum. In the top of the 7th La Crosse scored 3 runs and we could only manage 1 run in the bottom of the 7th. Amanda Heberlein pitched a great game with 13 Ks. I was proud of the way our girls battled back and never game up. It was a very intense game all the way through.”

Amanda Heberlein pitched 7 innings, and was 2-3 with a double. Julya Diersen had a double and 2 RBIs.

Baseball - June 18

U10 Black 2,
La Crosse Boys & Girls Club 6
Despite falling to Boys and Girls Club La Crosse Athletics 2-6 on Wednesday night, the Caledonia U10 Black baseball team came together as a group to battle right up to the end of the game,” said coach Ron DuCharme. “Caledonia had base runners and threatened to score every inning. Defensively, Caledonia stopped rallies by BGC in the last 2 innings to keep the game within reach. Jacob Winjum, Tanner Gran, Kole Skauge and Ethan DuCharme had big defensive plays. Symon Ely played outstanding in his first game as catcher.”

Pitchers were Tanner Gran and Jacob Winjum. Leading hitters were Colton Lampert, Ethan DuCharme and Jacob Winjum.

Baseball - June 19

U14 Black 12, opponents 1
Matt Peterson pitched a great game and also is swinging a hot bat right now,” said coach Kevin Ranzenberger. “The team showed up to play and got the job done.”

Matt Peterson had 11 Ks, and Alex Betz also pitched. Peterson went 4-4 with 2 singles, a double and a 3-RBI homerun.

U12 Gold 6, opponents 3
Coach Craig Loeffler said his team played a solid game. “Tanner Langen threw 4 strong innings, striking out 7 and after that Kyle Sorenson finished the game striking out 2 of the 4 batters. Spenser Privet had 2 big RBIs in the 2nd inning to make the lead go from 2 to 4 runs.
