Klug, Moore named to Legion All-Star team

Two Caledonia American Legion baseball players have been named to the
District 1 American Legion All Star East Team. Pitcher/infielder Alex
Klug and pitcher/outfielder Kody Moore will be part of the 16-member
East Team.
The District 1 East-West All Star game will be played this Wednesday night, July 16 in Stewartville beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The top players from the eight-team East Division will take on the top players from the seven-team West Division.
The East Team includes: Caledonia- Klug and Moore, Chatfield- Mitchel
Obey and Dustin Priebe, Eyota- Devin Shultz and Spencer Franke,
LaCrescent- Tim Verthein, Ryan Minegar, and Patrick Falk, Lake City-
Jacob Snyder, Dan Herron, and Ben Krehbiel, St. Charles- Brent
Kraut and Brian Kohn, Plainview- Tristan Morath, and Wabasha- Kyle
Stiner.
The West Team includes: Adams- Brian Voigt, Kody Retterah, and Winston
Smith, Blooming Prairie- Brendan McCabe, Collin McDonald, and Tom
Kramer, Byron- Andrew Brooks, Dodge Center- Drew Johnson,
Glenville-Emmons- Ethan Weiss, New Richland- Jake Reyent and Luke
Forrester, Stewartville- Mikko Norman, Donnie Beddow, Craig English,
Bruce Babcock, and Jared Albers.
The All Star teams are made up of the top graduating seniors from
District 1. The game will be played at the Stewartville High School
baseball field. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering
will be taken to help defray the costs of the tournament.
