Two of three school board incumbents to seek re-election

Independent School District No. 299’s board of education will have three seats up for re-election this year. Two incumbents say they intend to file to seek another term on the board.
Jean Meyer and John Klug said they will file during the period which ends on September 9.
Joyce Knutson said she will not re-file. “I hope people run and that the election fills the seat,” she said. “Serving on the school board is a really good thing for everyone to do.” Knutson cited family obligations as her reason for not seeking re-election.
