Residents of Southeast Minnesota have been enjoying the golden fields of soybeans, as they have turned from green to gold during the past two weeks. Area farmers have been busy chopping corn for their silos and are preparing for the bean harvest, which should get underway this week. In the top photo, a field of yellow soybeans is a stark contrast to the green waterways. In the middle photo, bean pods have filled and are drying down. In the lower photo, the harvest moon, as it appeared last week. Photos by Charlie Warner and Jill Hahn
