The school board members present were John Klug, Scott Longhorn, Melissa Marschall, Kelley McGraw, Jean Meyer, Michelle Werner, and Spencer Yohe. Others present were Clay Schuldt, Jared Barnes, Lindsey Meyer, Barb Meyer, and Karen Schiltz. The school board held its second round of interviews for the position of superintendent. The interviews were conducted as follows in the Elementary Media Center: Benjamin Barton at 5:30 p.m. and Tami Martin at 6:30 p.m. After the interviews were completed, the board deliberated and selected a finalist for the superintendent position. The Superintendent Search Committee informed the Board that the school district was fortunate to have two exceptional candidates for the superintendent position and felt that either candidate would serve the School District well. The committee recommended Benjamin Barton as the candidate to fill this position and requested that the Board proceed with negotiations with Mr. Barton at this time. Moved by John Klug, seconded by Scott Longhorn to offer employment to Benjamin Barton as the Superintendent beginning the 2012-2013 school year contingent upon the mutually acceptable negotiated contract and the successful passage of a criminal background check.
