"Look, look

Look to the rainbow

Follow it over the hill

And the stream

Look, look

Look to the rainbow

Follow the fellow

Who follows a dream."

I reveled in being in the great outdoors through the years of my youth in the beautiful Winnebago Valley; The factor that has changed as decades have brought me to a more advanced stage of life, is the evasion of weather extremes. In former eras of life, I rambled and played in the beloved house yard without regard to the heat and humidity on a sultry summer day. On intermittent occasion, the blue sky turned to grey as the afternoon faded into evening. The winds picked up. I knew that at any moment I would be summoned into the house before the rains began to fall. I relished in these precise segments of time. The air cooled. The humidity which prevailed a fraction earlier diminished.   I felt a precise vigor mesh with a measure of relaxation. This has not changed. I still love observing the changes in the atmosphere preluding a storm; The rains descending as the sky gives way. When the cloudburst ceases, the picturesque view of a rainbow adorning the skies has ever been a favorite among nature's paintings.
