Police deputy Calvin Nagle received a Life Saving Award on June 27 for his fast action and CPR following a crash in Spring Grove.

During an appointment, scheduled as part of the Houston County Board of Commissioners’ weekly meeting, 23-year-old Deputy Nagle was presented an award by Sheriff Swedberg for performing life saving CPR on an accident victim following a crash on May 23, 2023. The accident occurred in Spring Grove, when a truck that was pulling out t-boned a motorcyclist coming down the roadway. The Police Department was dispatched immediately. With a one-minute response time, Nagle was the first person on the scene.
